Contactors for Capacitor Switching - all with a proven endurance of over 100,000 operations
Our CSC contactors have early make contacts, fitted with two resistors per phase to reduce the capacitive inrush current during the first quarter cycle. After approx 6 milli-secs., the early make contacts open, and the main contacts then carry the capacitor current. The early make contacts and resistors are in the frontal block, mounted on top of the main contacts.
Our CK contactors handle the capacitive inrush current using heavy duty alloy contacts, with proven electrical endurance in excess of 100,000 capacitor switching operations.
We list below the common kVAr ratings. Contactors for intermediate and higher ratings are available. Please contact us.
